Description

Hey guys!

We first met Megumi during the Kurosawa family reunion, then again at New Year. Now she's here for good, having taking up a teaching post at Sato High School in Kanchai Province.
She has spent the last 4 years working in schools in the outer provinces, earning her qualifications and getting in some first hand experience working with children of all ages.

At Sato High School Megumi will be teaching 9th & 10th graders, in the subjects of Mathematics, Applied Science (Computer Science, Robotics & Biomedical -Yes she is nerdy!) & Gym,
as well as running a few out-of-hours classes for any students that need extra support.

As it's her first day, she's decided to go easy on her students and take the time to get to know them by having a 'Get to know your students' class. Everyone has to list 10 things about
themselves, then share them with the whole class!

Megumi will go first, with the help of Scrapper, having already written her 10 things on the blackboard, then Mihoshi will go next to show support for her sister. At first she expects the
students to be a little shy or reluctant, but she is positive she can get them all talking and wanting more before lunch!

What 10 things do you like about Megumi?

It's taken me a long time to decide to write an actual critique on your work. Some of the reasons are that I often think it's just fantastic so I have nothing useful to say. Other times, it's because your art is not always "my style" so it's harder for me to provide feedback. That being said, here's my critique.

I do enjoy this image very much. I think it's one of my favorites of yours. It is very fun, and very well realized - I love that this it is so complete. There's no dead space going just to make it a bigger render. It makes it very immersive. The girls gossiping in the front, while one of your other main characters plays the dutiful student makes this feel just like any class I was every in. You know, except for the fact that I didn't go to school in a Japanese classroom, and my teachers were never that hot <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/> The nuance of the ankle socks, the slightly transparent shirt, and Mihoshi's sideways glance all just pull you in, and help you feel there.

Being hypercritical, Megumi's skirt has a very common issue that some skirts do, which is where it appears that her nethers are actually sucking the skirt in. I found a tool ($$) that helps with it, though I suspect with a d-former and an increased smoothing modifier, you could probably fix it.

The other critical comment is that, for some reason, it looks like Scrapper is superimposed on this image. He casts a shadow on the chalkboard, but i had to look at the image about 4 times to realize he's standing on a stool, and not just floating there. I apologize that I don't necessarily know what to do in this case. And it could be one of those things that once I saw it that way, it was hard to un-see it even if it's otherwise on point.
